‘Wellness Through Clay’ promotes relaxation in biweekly pottery workshops
The Targum has released an article about the “Wellness Through Clay” biweekly pottery workshops which is an initiative by Vivian Glenn, a School of Arts and Sciences sophomore and ScarletWell Connection Grant recipient. Glenn’s grant entitled Wellness Through Clay, was developed based on her inspiration to start her own organization after noticing the absence of a ceramics centered organization at Rutgers University. Glenn had previously taken a ceramic course every year throughout high school, and was looking to continue this artistic outlet during college. Glenn was able to successfully launch these workshops as a result which has been having a positive impact on student wellness. Wellness Through Clay will be hosting biweekly pottery workshops at The Yard @ College Avenue from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights. While spots for the workshops have already been filled, those who are still interested in attending are encouraged to join the event’s waitlist.
