Tanya Lalwani is a WinR Addiction Advocacy Research Student Intern and a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Rutgers University. After graduating from Columbia University, she worked as a research assistant at Northwell Health, developing digital interventions for the treatment of substance use disorders. Later, she worked as a Project Manager at the National Alliance for Mental Illness, NYC, overseeing their crisis line. Through these experiences, she developed an interest in conducting research on the intersection of trauma and substance use by leveraging technology. She is looking forward to continuing to pursue her research interests through the WinR fellowship and her dissertation work over the upcoming years.
