Crystal L. Brandow, Ph.D.
Dr. Crystal L. Brandow is a WinR Addiction Advocacy Research Fellow who has been working in the fields of behavioral and community health for over a decade. Her interests include broader, interdisciplinary topics related to public health communication, population health, health disparities, and media effects. To this end, Dr. Brandow’s work includes efforts related to children, youth, and families; well-being and wellness; trauma, healing, and resilience; identity, culture, and bias; and social justice. She strives to integrate an equity lens to all of the projects she engages in, as well as to integrate public health and population health principles and strategies. Dr. Brandow centers her work around Wellness First, and aims to bring an authentic, impactful, innovative voice to the behavioral health space. She is a Founding Member of the Society for Health Communication. She serves as Section Councilor for the American Public Health Association Mental Health Section and Co-Chair of the Section’s Population Health Workgroup. She works as a consultant with HumanKind Workshop and Inspired Vision, LLC, as well as under clb consulting.
