The Mini ERP Boot Camp is a 3-day training workshop on ERP methods designed for beginning and intermediate level ERP researchers at any career stage who would like to obtain a firm grasp of the fundamentals of ERP research. This workshop will provide a practical introduction to using ERPs to answer questions about sensory\, cognitive\, affective\, and motor processes in basic science and clinical research. \nWorkshop Topics:\nWhat are ERPs?\nNeural Origins of ERPs\nAdvantages of the ERP Technique\nEEG Data Acquisition\nCommon ERP Components\nOverview of Basic Analysis Steps\nDesign and Interpretation of ERP Experiments \n  \nRegister at: https://ce-catalog.rutgers.edu/coursedisplay.cfm?schID=75134 \nInstructor: Emily S. Kappenman\nDr. Emily Kappenman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at San Diego State University. She has over 15 years of experience using EEG/ERPs to study cognition and emotion in typical healthy individuals and people with psychological and psychiatric disorders. Her laboratory is also actively involved in the development and promotion of high-quality EEG/ERP methods in both basic and translational research. Dr. Kappenman is co-director of the yearly NIMH-sponsored ERP Boot Camp 10 day summer workshop\, and has also led more than a dozen Mini ERP Boot Camp training workshops at institutions around the world. \nWebsites:\nemilykappenman.org\nerpinfo.org
