FACULTY PRACTICE PLAN
In December 1994 the University approved the Center's proposal to implement the Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies Faculty Practice Plan. The Plan is dedicated to providing assessment, intervention, and referral services to persons whose use of alcohol is hazardous to their health or well-being.
Services will be based upon current scientific findings and knowledge and delivered in a manner consistent within the guidelines established by state regulations and the American Psychological Association.
The Plan is dedicated to the conduct of clinical research and to the advancement of scientific knowledge regarding cost effective procedures for early identification and assessment of and intervention with hazardous drinkers; recruiting such drinkers into brief assessment and intervention programs; and to delivering those services to as broad a range of clients as possible.
The Plan is viewed as an important venue for advancing the research program of the Center.
