Clinical Research

Under Construction
  • Each year several undergraduate students are accepted to take independent study in clinical research on addictions and go on to do Honors in Psychology theses with us. These students are trained to be integral members of our research teams and work closely with faculty, staff and graduate students. They are encouraged to present their research findings at national scientific conferences and to submit for publication.
  • Collaboration with Psychology Department and GSAPP
Each year we have several Ph.D. and/or Psy.D. candidates work in our clinic lab as integral members of our clinical research team. These students are trained to administer a host of semi-structured research interviews such as the SCID I and II, timeline followback, Form-90, etc.,  administer these assessments to clinical populations,  serve as study clinicians, and have access to our data for first authored publications, presentations, Masters and Doctoral Dissertations, under close supervision and collaboration with faculty. Hands on training in clinical research methods is received, as is experience writing and executing NIH funded grants.
  • We offer postdoctoral fellowships based on funding availability. Contact individual faculty member for information on topics and availability.
