Dr. White’s research focuses on the causes, consequences and comorbidity of substance use and other problem behaviors (e.g., violence, delinquency, crime and mental health problems) in longitudinal studies of community and high-risk samples. She is also developing and evaluating brief substance use interventions for college students. Dr. White has a book on patterns and predictors of delinquency and crime in press, has co-edited two books on alcohol studies, and has published extensively in the drug, criminology, and sociology journals
