About

Dr. Mun joined the Rutgers Center of Alcohol Studies in 2006. She holds a joint appointment with tenure in the Department of Clinical Psychology, Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. In addition, she is a Graduate Faculty member in the Department of Psychology and the Department of Statistics and Biostatistics, the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers. She has authored over 100 publications, including three books; collaborated on several major research projects across the United States; served on journal editorial boards; and served on scientific review committees for the National Institutes of Health.

Her research broadly relates to the identification of developmental processes through which one’s risk for the development of alcohol problems is maintained, intensified, or ameliorated throughout the life span using longitudinal, experimental, and intervention data. She seeks cutting-edge computational and technological solutions to overcome the existing barriers to knowledge in the area of alcohol prevention and intervention for adolescents and young adults. The research innovation she seeks is directly aimed at providing high-quality large-scale evidence to promote health and health care decisions for stakeholders in the field, including trial developers, clinicians, agencies, college administrators, adolescents and their parents, and young adults.

  • To conduct complex meta-analysis of alcohol interventions to reduce alcohol misuse among adolescents, college students, and young adults
  • To improve research practices of clinical trials and meta-analysis of clinical trials
  • To build collaborative networks for better data generation as well as for dissemination and implementation
