SUBSTANCE ABUSE RESOURCES ON THE WEB
For Kids

mailto:ppage@rci.rutgers.edu How much do you know about alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs like marijuana and ecstasy? Some drugs can make you feel happy and relaxed, while others can make you excited or nervous. Using too much of a drug can often lead to bad results, such as vomiting, unconsciousness ("passing out"), hallucinations ("seeing things"), or even death. And some drugs can be very addictive-if you keep using them you can become "hooked" and find it very hard to stop.
Have you ever wanted to know more about how alcohol and other drugs can affect your body? Have you ever been concerned a friend or family member might be having a problem with alcohol or other drugs? The websites listed below can give you more information on specific drugs and how they can affect you, your friends, and your family.
